Are the designs actually free?
Yes. Every design on 3DLaserCo is free to download. No account, no credit card, no paywall. Click Download, get the ZIP.
What file formats are included in each download?
Each ZIP includes six formats: SVG, DXF, PDF, AI, CDR, and EPS. This covers nearly every laser cutter and design tool combination in use today.
Which laser cutters are compatible?
The files work with all major laser cutters — xTool, Glowforge, Sculpfun, Ortur, Atomstack, Thunder Laser, Boss Laser, Trotec, and more. Open the DXF or SVG in your machine's software and you're ready to cut.
What software can I use to open these files?
All formats are supported by the most common tools:
LightBurn — import SVG or DXF directly
Adobe Illustrator — open AI or SVG
CorelDRAW — open CDR, AI, or SVG
Inkscape — open SVG (free, open-source)
AutoCAD / Fusion 360 — import DXF
xTool Creative Space — import SVG or DXF
Glowforge App — upload SVG
Are the SVG files clean and laser-ready?
Yes. Every SVG uses strokes (not fills) for cut lines, and paths are joined and simplified. You shouldn't need to edit anything before sending to your cutter.
Can I search by file format?
Yes. Use the format filter at the top of the Design Library to filter by SVG, DXF, PDF, AI, CDR, or EPS.
Can I use these designs to sell finished products?
Yes. You may cut and sell physical items made from our designs. You may not redistribute or resell the digital files themselves, or claim the designs as your own.
What materials work with these designs?
The designs are format-agnostic — use them on plywood, MDF, acrylic, leather, cardboard, cork, or any material your laser handles. Cut depth and speed settings depend on your machine and material, not the file.
A file isn't cutting correctly. What should I check?
First, confirm you're using the DXF or SVG (not the PDF) for cutting. If paths look broken in LightBurn, use Edit → Auto-Join Selected Shapes. If you're still stuck, email us at support@3dlaserco.com with your software version and a screenshot.
Can I request a specific design?
Yes. Send your request to support@3dlaserco.com with as much detail as you can — dimensions, style, intended material. We review all requests.
How often are new designs added?
New designs are added regularly. The library currently has 1,484+ templates and continues to grow.
